Terry Gibson
Sportfishing Writer & Researcher

As a writer, photographer and editor, Terry Gibson has been a prominent voice for conservation education in many U.S. and international enthusiast publications, and through outdoor television shows. His career objective is “to bring unique media, networking and campaign skills to bear on solutions for fisheries and coastal-zone management challenges.”

Terry has served as the editor of Saltwater Fly Fishing magazine, in various editorial capacities within the Florida Sportsman Communications Network, and as the Fishing Editor of Outdoor Life. He also served as Surfer Magazine’s Environmental Editor, and his byline frequently appears in diving and conservation publications. During and subsequent to holding these editorial positions, Terry has consulted on climate change, coastal management and fisheries issues for the National Wildlife Federation, Environmental Defense Fund, Pew Environment Group, and Ocean Conservancy. He is also an active volunteer for the Surfrider Foundation, Save the Waves Foundation, and the Florida Wildlife Federation. Terry is currently the President of North Swell Media, LLC.
