Brook Wilkinson has focused on responsible travel throughout her career in journalism. As the former associate consumer news editor at Condé Nast Traveler magazine, she oversaw the World Savers Awards, given to travel companies with outstanding social and environmental policies. Currently, Wilkinson is a freelance writer and has contributed to publications such as Wired, Fitness, Brides, Modern Bride, Concierge.com, and SilverKris. She also wrote the travel chapter to the Whole Green Catalog, a handbook for living life more sustainably, which was published by Rodale in 2009.
